A home for our dog
Hello Friends and Animal-Lovers,
Jon and I are looking for a new home for our 6 year old shepherd mix, Leia. She has been a very, very sweet and obedient pet. Recently, she was provoked by a toddler and bit back. As most of you know, our daughter is a toddler. Leia has been extremely sweet with our daughter but at this point, we feel it would be unwise for us to keep them together in our home. I approached various pet rescue organizations, and they will not accept an animal that doesn’t have a clean track record. They simply do not want to place her, and therefore will not try. We felt very noble in adopting Leia from the local shelter 3 years ago, so we really don’t want to send her back to the shelter. We love our dog and wish for her to find a new, happy home.
This is an important matter to my family and although placing her has been a challenge thus far, I still believe that there’s hope! Leia would be best placed in a home without any other pets or children. She is very athletic and loves to go running. Someone who is an experienced dog-owner would be the best fit for her.
